Classic Car & Bike Show with Craft Fayre

Deputy Town Mayor, Cllr Eric Edwards, was delighted at the success of the Show and that profits would benefit the Town Mayor’s Charities (Bedford Concern for Homeless and Rootless, Children’s Burns Trust and provision of Flitwick Christmas lights) commenting “three times more classic cars turned up than last year and many people approached me to say how nice it was for this type of event to take place in Flitwick”.

Bikes were added to the show this year and Tim White, who brought two of his, said “A great afternoon, it was an excellent idea to have motorcycles included this year, there was a good turnout of bikes and I am sure next year there will be even more.   I brought along my 964 Ducati 250 which I currently race with the British Historic Racing Club and Classic Motorcycle Racing Club and a 1961 Manx Norton in its original specification”.

A Craft Fayre was held inside the Rufus Centre and stall holder, Aneesa Akhtar, (fudge stall) said “Just wanted to say had a great time today and am keen to book the next Fayre”.

A final word from resident Ed Hill “The show was brilliant and as you know a lot bigger than last year.    A very good turn out and that includes the side shows and crafts.    Very well done.”
